The BSGE and Ethicon have opened applications for the Laparoscopic Gynaecology program for ST5+.

The popular and competitive program was established by Ethicon in partnership with the BSGE. It offers a pathway designed to allow trainees to develop the skills of a laparoscopic surgeon, including knowledge and techniques to perform advanced laparoscopic procedures and refine their professional and leadership skills.

To continue to deliver high quality training in 2022, a large proportion of the program will use digital and virtual technologies. There are twelve places available nationally and the entry is limited to fully paid trainee members of the Society. BSGE Laparoscopy Training Portfolio Chair Donna Ghosh said:

‘The courses are very competitive but a fantastic opportunity- so go for it, if you don’t apply you won’t succeed. I have seen people getting in after three unsuccessful years, so don’t give up.’
